Dr. Sankey and Flower Mound Orthodontics, supporting National Smile Month

Now that we’re in the month of June, Dr. Sankey and our staff thought today would be a good time to remind our patients that June is National Smile Month, and a great time to remind all our patients to practice good oral hygiene between your visits to our office. After all, a person's smile outranked eyes, hair and body as the most important physical feature, according to our pals at the American Dental Association.

Here are a few simple steps you can take to improve your oral hygiene and health during your treatment at Flower Mound Orthodontics.

* Brush at least twice a day with fluoride toothpaste. Here's a helpful video showing you how to brush with your braces on.
* Floss everyday to clean between your teeth.
* Reduce your intake of sugary foods and drinks during your orthodontic treatment.
* Visit your dentist regularly (usually every six months apart) in addition to visiting Dr. Sankey.

Have a great week! We want everyone to get out there and share your beautiful smiles with the world!
